Bahram has about twenty-two years of coaching experience and has been involved in the sport of water polo for nearly thirty-two years. He has a successful track record for promoting student-athletes and their quest for learning and performance; teaching fundamentals and developing and evaluating talent at the club, all-star, youth, junior, senior, scholastic (high school/college), national and international levels. His true passion lies at the development level from youth to adult.
Genia graduated from University High School as their varsity goalie in 2009 and was recruited to play at several Division 1 schools (UCLA, UCSD, UCI) and was offered five full-ride athletic/academic scholarships. She attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts, graduating in 2013 with a double major in international relations (with a focus in economics) and environmental science.
Genia currently works as an assistant coach for both the boys and girls water polo teams at Uni while working on her PhD in Social Ecology at University of California, Irvine. She also plays on UCI’s club water polo team.
